Formular Editor in Writer (Insert>Object>Formula) with no available option

Problem description: 

Formula Editor is inoperable

Steps to reproduce:
1. open Formula Editor by Insert>Object>Formula, edit existing formula or  
2. Formula Editor does not work (and sometimes not open)

Current behavior:

Expected behavior:

Platform (if different from the browser): 
              
Browser: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_7_3) AppleWebKit/534.53.11 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1.3 Safari/534.53.10

Today, it seems like a cleanup. You do have a problem, some people have (  that is not good at all).
