Provide a list showing the usage of styles in a document. At least show if the style is used or not and allow direct deletion (with prior multiple selection) from that list. This would help cleaning up migrated word documents a lot.
Thanks for new idea Possible workaround: select all content of document, copy-paste it to new empty document.
Marking as NEW as it's a valid enhancement request. Leaving as Medium priority as it seems like it could be useful for quite a few people using styles. Thanks for the suggestion!
Created attachment 71422 [details] Basic macro which has needed functionality I have written Basic Macro which shows all unused styles and allows deleting them. Please, tell me if something is wrong or additional functionality needed.
I'll have a look.
I'll unassign me from this bug, due the fact of my lacking development skills. Therefore I make 'room' in the hope someone else can accomplish it. Kind regards, Joren
I would like to draw the attention to the AskLibO entry http://ask.libreoffice.org/en/question/2196/wish-purge-unused-styles/?answer=16767#post-id-16767 What is discussed there appears to me slightly different from this bug report but closely related and could possibly be tackled in one development work.
I added "custom" to the summary for precision. Hope someone can add this enhancement.

If cleaning up is all that you want to do, you can add a macro as documented here: https://forum.openoffice.org/en/forum/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=42571 I've used it a few times with no problems. Still, the enhancement request is valid.

Don't know how to use it. How do I import this?
