Problem description: New section of RTF document is not displayed. Steps to reproduce: 1. Open attached document of bug report 49413 in Libre Office 3.5.2.2 Current behavior: Text and tables in new section are not shown Expected behavior: The contents of the new section are shown In Libre Office 3.4.4, the document is shown correctly. Platform (if different from the browser): Ubuntu 12.04 LTS Browser: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:12.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/12.0
See attachment of 'See Also' bug report 49413.
No idea what the problem might be, I can't see any table in the sample document from Bug 49413 with any software. @f_rietveld@yahoo.com Please contribute concrete info like "on page xx text string "yyy" missing, reason "zzz".
See the comment in the other bug report by Jean-Baptiste Faure who also reproduced the problem: " Reproducible in master (Build ID: f1005e5) which only one table while LO 3.4.6 shows 4 tables on 2 pages (2 tables by page). Miklos it is one for you. Please, feel free to reassign if you can't handle this bug. Best regards. JBF "
Created attachment 61277 [details] Screenshot: no sections at all? It has been confirmed that second page is empty, nothing else. I can't see any "Section" at all with 3.4.5. Do you have knowledge concerning roots of the problem you did not tell until now or did you only want to say "page 2 empty"?
I understand your confusion now, I've got some new insight as well now, let me try to explain to get this clear. First of, the example in the other bug report is wrong, it does not contain a new section indeed. I had been toying around a bit with sections and uploaded a version without the section. Sorry about this. So it seems that this issue is not related to sections specifically. However, I've now created a new RTF file with a new section and stumble upon, I think, another issue: 1. I'm using an RTF generator that generates /sect/sectd when defining a new section. 2. Apparently, now that I look into it more carefully, Libre Office does not recognize this as a new section start. Even Libre Office 3.4.4 still mentions 0 sections. So it seems we're dealing with two bugs here: the text and table not showing on the second page of the document, and Libre Office does not seem to honour the /sect/sectd statement contained within this new RTF file. I'll attach the new RTF, that includes the /sect/sectd sequence, to this report. Please let me know what to do. Should I make two separate new reports out of these two issues to clean up this messy bug report a bit?
Created attachment 61281 [details] Example actually containing a new section (/sect) keyword
Can someone please answer my question regarding what to do please? Thanks.
[Reproducible] with reporter's new sample and "LibreOffice 3.5.5.3. German UI/Locale [Build-ID: 7122e39-92ed229-498d286-15e43b4-d70da21] on German WIN7 Home Premium (64bit) MS WORD Viewer shows a second page full of contents, in LibO only first pate with a table ending with "Bijlage: specificatie" is shown. No longer reproducible with Server Installation of "LibreOffice 3.6.0.4 rc German UI/Locale [Build-ID: 932b512] on German WIN7 Home Premium (64bit), so WFM for now. @Miklós: Is there a chance to find the commit fixing this and to backport it to 3.5 with acceptable costs?
Just for information, on pc Debian x86-64 with master sources updated today, I reproduce this.
