Same problem observed on the same platform (win 7). The problem occurred after installing a new version 3.5.4.2 over the old one.

DUP of "Bug 50552 - SPELL check does not mark wrong text and capitalization rules" (what surely is a DUP of an other one) for now.

@Udo
We have lots of bug reports for such problems concerning few different reasons for that problem. I really really doubt that you found a new one, so I recommend to ask for assistance on
<http://ask.libreoffice.org/questions/>
or on the public users mailing list <users@libreoffice.org>, a mailing list from <http://www.documentfoundation.org/contribution/#lists> or
<http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Local_Mailing_Lists>

Please feel free to reopen this Bug if discussion with others leaded to an assessment that we have an (until now) unknown LibO bug and a clear and comprehensible description of the problem due to <http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/BugReport>.

It might be useful that you do a backup of your user profile. If further discussion shows that you reported an independent new bug that might be useful for further research.
