Rescuing this bug. Of course it still happens.
FWIW, this problem is gone in the GTK+ 3 port, which even renders semi-transparent buttons nicely (give the elementary theme a try, for example). I’m not sure if it’s feasible to fix this in the default GTK+ 2-based UI.

About dialog has been rewritten since LO 6.3, and this bug does not appear in this and the subsequent versions. Closing as WorksForMe because I am not able to find the right commit. Best regards. JBF
Even with GTK2 backend, I do not see the bug in LO 6.3.4.0+. Best regards. JBF
hen running a presentation from the beginning with F5, a video in a subsequent slide shows as a black rectangle (sound is OK). If the presentation is started from the slide containing the video with Shift+F5, the video is shown correctly. This was first raised by another user back in June 2019 in the Ask LibreOffice forum entitled "All videos play as black". The problem is still there in the latest release (6.4.0.3). I have put together a simple two slide presentation which shows the problem, and which I will try to upload if it's not too big. Pachtaoge Lyrics
