Created attachment 63330 [details] the file is misrendered when imported. Import the file, I tried with LibreOffice 3.5.4. Two examples: * The penguin should have a speech bubble with text. * A big frame appears. Inside that frame should be the picture with the syringe. This picture appears on the second page (that page shouldn't even exist).
Created attachment 63331 [details] This file is even more messed up when imported A second file of the same author which is even more messed up. I could provide screenshots if it helps.
Confirmed with: LO 3.5.4.2 Build ID: own W7 debug build Windows 7 Professional SP1 64 bit Many errors comparing LibreOffice with Word 2010.
still present in LO version 3.5.5.3 for example pictures become unusable with an export to docx.
The entire content is off-page with 4.0-master.
Also still valid Version 3.6.5.2 (Build ID: 5b93205) (probably pretty obius if Comment #4 says that it is also valid in 4.0.x...
Still reproducible, tested using Windows 8.1 with LibreOffice Version: 4.3.0.0.alpha0+ Build ID: 5be7ec4193b892e5643ff5f3f2e6755319569190 TinderBox: Win-x86@39, Branch:master, Time: 2013-12-27_23:55:02
** Please read this message in its entirety before responding ** To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: *Test to see if the bug is still present on a currently supported version of LibreOffice (4.4.1 or later) https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ *If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the version of LibreOffice and your operating system, and any changes you see in the bug behavior *If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a short comment that includes your version of LibreOffice and Operating System Please DO NOT *Update the version field *Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) *Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to "inherited from OOo"; 4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add "regression" to keyword Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat: http://webchat.freenode.net/?channels=libreoffice-qa Thank you for your help! -- The LibreOffice QA Team This NEW Message was generated on: 2015-04-18

Pingin problem is the same as bug 96218
This is one of those old "document(s) based" bugs that were not properly triaged at the time in order to have "issue based" bugs. Not related, but as an example, please check Bug 90237. Bug title was "wrong layout" but now with 5.4 master, layout of attachment 63330 [details] is OK. Only bubble shapes are not correct. That's because it's Word 2007 docx and even bubbles are OK if previously saved in Word 2010. That could be a separate bug, if not reported already. But, I don't think it's worth reporting because of this old 2007 docx version. Attachment 63331 [details] has some layout problems in LO plus penguin bubble shape. When also saved in Word 2010 it loses some data, like penguin text. So, even MSO has problems with that file. Both 2007 and 2010 docx are imported in LO with wrong shape (thermometers) and I find that's worth reporting. I'll close this one as WFM, having in mind layout. Feel free to report remaining issues separately.
Actually, thermometer is reported in Bug 103964, so no need for a new bug.
