All the borders on this sheet were 0.05pt in earlier versions. They now display like this in 3.5.5.3 (14.42 KB, application/vnd.oasis.opendocument.spreadsheet)

All the borders on this sheet were 0.05pt in earlier versions. They now display like this in 3.5.5.3

The formatting of cell borders in spreadsheets created in earlier versions is now inconsistent when opened in 3.5.5.3. Some 0.05 pt borders display as 1.0pt borders within the same worksheet, others display correctly. They can be reformatted to 0.05 and saved, they then display correctly.

DUP of "Bug 51178 - FILEOPEN document from older version: borders width around cells looks thicher than when opened with old version.

@reporter:
May I ask you to read hints on <http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/BugReport>? "Formatting" is not a sufficient Summary.
Additionally "All the borders[...] were 0.05pt " is not a useful description. What do you want to tell us? That in the Format - Borders dialog you see border line with "0.05 pt"? or that it looked as 0.05 pt?
Please always try to be very precise!
Inserting a 1 pt thick line into the spreadsheet in an old version should have shown you that there is a bug in the old versions.

Thank you for correcting all of my mistakes I made as first-time bug reporter. However, if this is a fixed bug in 3.5.5 as reported against bug report 51178 how come all the spreadsheets I created before 3.5.5 now display borders incorrectly? Do I have to reformat them all to correct them i.e. what's the solution?
The file I attached to 52431 clearly illustrates the problem!

@terencecguard-bugreport@yahoo.co.uk:
The bug was in the versions _before_ 3.5.5!
After this fix many users (me included) now are astonished what a lot of very big borders they have in their old spreadsheets. That's the problem you see in your sample, with 3.4 1.0 pt borders looked as if they were 0.05 pt, now they look as thick as format-Border dialog shows.

For me that was a small problem, because I consequently use styles. I simply reduced the border width in the styles. But users who did many manual border amendments will have a lot of work with their old documents. If you need assistance you should ask on <http://ask.libreoffice.org/questions/>
