Tracking bug for InvalidRegistryException errors.
Comment 5 Julien Nabet 2012-08-10 06:45:13 UTC
Also confirmed on IRC. A workaround is to remove/backup the LO profile so dup of 43489.
Anyone could attach a zip of his/her LO profile ?

broken rdb causes runtime error when saved to user/extensions/bundled/registry/com.sun.star.comp.deployment.component.PackageRegistryBackend/common.rdb

Isolated to

user/extensions/bundled/registry/com.sun.star.comp.deployment.component.PackageRegistryBackend/common.rdb

or common_.rdb

Copying either of those from my old broken user profile to a brand new one triggers the runtime error on LO startup. Also annoying is that when removing the user directory, and running LO to recreate it, LO quits after recreating the profile dir, rather than starting. That confused me for a moment.

Broken common.rdb is attached

This is due to the same underlying problem as bug 53006. See "Various problems with bundled extensions" at <https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/index.php?title=ReleaseNotes/3.6#Most_annoying_bugs> for a workaround.
