Description Max Addler 2012-08-20 08:47:30 UTC
Value Highlighting always highlichts all three of text, formulas and numbers.

Suggested enhancement:
- Allow for separate enabling of these three
- Implement configuration options for each of
  - Highlight number values
  - Highlight text values
  - Highlight formulas
  instead of only one option.

Expected use:
- Being able to use formula highlighting independent of text and number highlighting

Similar to the Tools > Options > Writer > Formatting Aids has checkboxes for the various formatting marks, we could do the same in Tools > Options > Calc > View with value highlighting options.

Never seen highlighting enabled individually. And I don't get the use case. What we could do is to offer various sets of highlight colors (like text editors allow to show content like html, c++, or pascal) and allow the user to edit the pieces. And disabling a feature would mean to just make this color black. But I would not place checkboxes on a dialog.

no objection from my side
