@Rainer,
@Robert,

with JAVA 7 exit IMHO problems. I believe I remember that the recommendation is JAVA 7 not to be used. What is your opinion? What shall we say to the reporter?

But JAVA 7 is recognised by LibreOffice (at least in the setting dialog) and is the official versin to be downloaded as far as I know. Other apps (e.g. internet banking) require version 7.

Since I need to deploy LibreOffice on more computers via script it would be at least useful to know how to set the default JAVA verion during the instalation process or after for all the LibreOffice installation if both JAVA 6 and 7 were installed.

BTW the JAVA auto updater warns you that if you install JAVA 7 it will remove JAVA 6 during the installation process.

Have a look at https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=50022 . It's the same bug reported there. There is a problem with Java 7 and LO-Base.
Java 7 is recognized by LO, but that doesn't mean, that it works with LO.

You could install more than one JRE and use a JRE 6 for Base. It must be also possible with other systems like mine (OpenSUSE 32bit rpm, 4 JRE-Versions installed). The reporter of bug 50022 installed two versions on a Windows-32-bit-system.
