Printout browser contents

Steps how to reproduce with WIN Seamonkey 2.13.2:

1. Launch BSA by Browser Bookmark (see a.m. URL)
2. Create bug report similar to "[Bug 57905] New: UI: Autocorrect Options can
not be closed using 'Close-X' at the top right corner of dialog"
3. <Submit>
   Expected: Bug Submission
   Actual: Error Message

well, when you use that page, you *are* coming from the wrong page, so WFM...

That is only the content that is loaded into the iframe and not meant to be used standalone.

Use https://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/bug/ instead.
Comment 2 Rainer Bielefeld Retired 2012-12-07 05:48:08 UTC
Well, so that might not be a BSA bug.

But I believe I am not the only one who uses bookmarks and has some obsolet ones in his collection?
If that page, that in the past was allowed, no longer may be used, it should not show the BSA UI, but forward to the correct page. May be I will submit an extra Bug for that.

And the bad news is:
I used the Feedback button in LibO 4.0.0, what opened
<https://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/bug/?version=4.0.0.0.alpha1&locale=en-US&module=StartModule>, I was able to do all preparations, but with <Submit>
I got the same Error Message for 3 attempts.

Same problem when I opened that URL in FF and tried to submit a Bug.

<https://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/bug/> What I reached from Feedback in 3.6.4.3 shows the same problem for me

I didn't check yet, but is this a resurrection of bug 55442?

Hmm.. the real page https://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/bug/ use iframe which calls from https://bugassistant.libreoffice.org/libreoffice/bug/bug.html source. So this URL can't be redirected as you suggested, as it will be a circular redirect IMHO.
Comment 4 Rainer Bielefeld Retired 2012-12-08 07:22:50 UTC
This seems to be a general problem. I have been used to see several bug reports per day via BSA, but since some days there seem to be no BSA bug reports. I did some queries [1] [2] concerning the characteristic last lines "Operating System: "Last worked in:"

It seems we had no more BSA bug reports since
"Bug 57858 - : Bibliography Database crashes Writer", what has been reported 2012-12-05 (Tue) 07:25 UTC

@Rob
Can you help?
I planned to delete Bugs for Component "deletionrequest" today, but may be they can help debugging?

Addendum with Queries:

Comment 7 Rob Snelders 2012-12-09 14:39:45 UTC
I have found a bug that stopped the BSA from working correctly. So it should work again. But I have noticed that the query-time for getting some information out of Bugzilla takes quite a while longer then it used to. When the submit-button appears then it still takes 2-3 seconds before you can really submit the button otherwise the token is still missing.

The Error message that's in the 2nd attachment should also be solved.

The problem of the 1st attachment I can't reproduce. The extra parameters in the URL still don't do anything. I have asked the website-list if they can put the parameters through to the iFrame but I haven't have received an answer for that.

Please try if the BSA now works for you, for me it does

I am using always the link: https://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/bug/
and got recently (last week) the error message "It looks like you didn't com from the right page...."

I just created a new bug report and all works fine for me again

XP /SP3 Firefox 17.0.1
Comment 9 Rainer Bielefeld Retired 2012-12-11 05:35:24 UTC
I submitted "Bug 58069 - FILESAVE in different path structure destroys relative hyperlinks" from BSA without problems.

Even with Bookmark (See URL) I was able to submit Bug 58112 without problems.

I get this problem trying to submit a bug report.

I started at https://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/bug/
and filled out the form, but when I press Submit
I get this error message trying to report a crash in Impress...

Using latest version of Firefox,
clicked on the icon for "Presentation",
filled out the fields, Browsed and added
an example file to illustrate the problem...

Thanks!
Best Regards, Dave

Hi - need some more info to track this down.

I had no problems filing a bug using the bsa just now
(https://www.libreoffice.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=74847)
Comment 12 Dave Nadler 2014-02-11 16:35:13 UTC
I'm not sure exactly why/how this happened,
but it happened to me repeatedly. Also, despite
this message, the bug report did actually get
filed at least once.

To reiterate, I selected the product by clicking
on the "presentation" icon, and added an attachment
using the "Browse" button; perhaps you can reproduce
using these specific steps??
Also, are you using Firefox??

I get this error message trying to report a crash in Impress...

nope, not reproducible with firefox either. (bug 74850)

are you using a proxy or web-accelerator or something similar?
Comment 14 Dave Nadler 2014-02-11 18:34:25 UTC
Aaarrggg...
I'm not using any accelerator or proxy.
Sorry this isn't easily reproducible for you,
no further ideas here...

Comment 15 Rob Snelders 2014-02-11 20:39:22 UTC
When you are posting to fast after selecting another component/subcomponent it can fail.

When you change the component/subcomponent a token it retrieved from the bugzilla-server. The BSA needs that token to be able to save the bugreport. This isn't done yet (takes 2-3 seconds normally) or fails.

It can fail due to security-issues. We need to be able to do AJAX-commands to a different url (but still at libreoffice.org).

Tools like firebug let you see if the call fails or not. If you are familiar with this tool you can look if it fails, or isn't done yet when you try to submit.

Otherwise it is a extremely difficult problem to tackle as we can't reproduce here.

Moving to mab4.1 (Bug 60270) because:
- 4.0 reached EOL (End Of Life)
- bug confirmed in later version
