Description Stan Gatchel 2012-12-09 16:13:54 UTC
In the drawing application, create a rectangle then add a radius to the corners:

First right click on the rectangle and select "Position and Size"
Then add a corner radius by clicking on the tab "Slant and corner radius"
Then enter a value for the radius.

Now save the file (in .odg format) and close the document. Open the file and the radius is now zero (i.e., not saved.)

Note the same problem occurs in the presentation app.

Due to
<https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=39907#c6> this one is a DUP of "Bug 39907 - Disable UI "Corner Radius" for custom shape rectangle"

@reporter:
Please feel free to reopen this Bug if you find evidence that we have an independent issue here (for example because the fix for the other bug does not work for you).

*** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 39907 ***

How is this bug a dup of Disable UI "Corner Radius" for custom shape rectangle"???

I am using 4.0.2.2

You are allowed to change the corner radius of rectangle objects. When do you, the radius is not saved with the file.

This has nothing to do with "Disable UI "Corner Radius" for custom shape rectangle"

Please fix this basic capability. It's needed.

The field "Corner radius" is greyed-out in both 4.4.0.0.alpha2 and 4.3.2.2 when I'm in Draw or Impress. I believe that's the correct behavior given the explanation in bug 39907#c6 - 'The custom shape kind rectangle is not able to carry the information "rounded corners", so it is not stored. But the UI in position & size is enabled, so it looks like it would be possible.'

If you want a rectangle with rounded corners, just select "Basic Shapes -> Rectangle, Rounded".

Does this make sense? (If it does, please mark this bug as a Duplicate of 39907. If not, please change status back to UNCONFIRMED.

Thanks!
