Description Rainer Bielefeld Retired 2012-12-19 05:36:54 UTC
I found this during my research for "Bug 58484 - FILEOPEN particular LibO 3.5 .ods: all CONDITIONAL FORMATTING lost" with parallel installation of "LOdev 4.0.0.0.beta1 - GERMAN UI / German Locale [Build ID: 87906242e87d3ddb2ba9827818f2d1416d80cc7)]" {tinderbox: @6, pull time 2012-12-06} on German WIN7 Home Premium (64bit) with separate /4 User Profile for Master Branch.

Steps how to reproduce:

1. Open Attachment 71764 [details] for Bug 58484 from LibO Start Center
2. Expand all column groups
   Expected: columns with bold headings (T, Z, AB, ...) should also show numbers
             in column below heading in bold (so it does in LibO 3.5.7.2 and
             LibO 3.6.4.3)
   Actual: not bold, and 'bold' icon in 'Formatting' toolbar not active when
           cell cursor on cell

Regression because that worked fine with 3.6.4.3

We will have to check where that problem started

@John:
Can you confirm my observation?

Yes I agree that the bold formatting is lost.

Other formatting problems:
* Columns D & L (they should look like column S). These are both columns which have conditional formatting where the normal formatting (when no conditional formatting is active) has been lost. This does not happen everywhere though (column AW is very similar, but retains its base formatting apart from cell AW7). I probably used the format painter to create most of this formatting.

* CA6, CD6, etc are all lacking there base formatting and contain conditional formatting.

* Columns J, CA, CD, etc have lost centering of their contents - these columns also contain a conditional format (and this happens whether or not the conditional formatting is currently active).

NEW due to Comment 2

already [Reproducible] with
- unzipped installation of "LOdev 4.0.0.0.alpha1+ - ENGLISH UI / German Locale [Build ID: af60316514f3ae3d4c475819bf86f2af837171e)]" {tinderbox: Win-x86@6, pull time 2012-11-23 22:10:31} on German WIN7 Home Premium (64bit) with own separate User Profile
- Server-installation of Master "3.7.0.alpha0+  – ENGLISH UI [Build ID: f2e622]" {tinderbox: Win-x86@16, pull time 2012-10-06 09:31:39} on German WIN7 Home Premium (64bit) UserInstallation=$SYSUSERCONFIG/LOdev/3

Was still ok with server-installation of Master "3.7.0alpha0+ – WIN7 Home Premium (64bit) ENGLISH UI [Build ID: b255de8]" (tinderbox: Win-x86@6-fast, pull time 2012-06-05 23:16:58)

@Markus:
Can you please have a look? Please leave a note if bibisecting would ease your research!

Can you check if it is fixed in Beta2?

If these cells have conditional format I have this bug already fixed.
Comment 5 john.pratt 2012-12-21 07:56:04 UTC
I agree that this is fixed in 4.0 beta 2 and have marked this as resolved. Thank you.
