One of the main features of office 2013 is that when you type, the cursor moves smoothly right as it reveals the letter, making typing a much more fluent task. It also smoothly zooms in and out like tablets. Also, please add 3D slide transitions, and possibly make the option (not force) to use the Ribbon UI introduced in Office 2007 and enhanced to Office 2013.
- Smooth scrolling is already available in LibreOffice - Smooth UI animations can be considered - File an individual, separate bug for 3D slide transitions - We’re not going to copy Microsoft’s UI. Bug tickets are meant to track *one request*. If you have more than one, you file more tickets. Please read “How to report bugs effectively” http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/bugs.html for tips.
OK, I’m editing this bug so it only covers the smooth animations suggestion, and confirming it. Thanks for reporting this!
Is there an update on this? I also really like the smooth cursor from MS Office.
Hopefully there can be some progress on this soon.
Smooth cursor animation would be great, so more people could migrate from MS Office to Libre Office. Please consider this.
While there are obviously people who like smooth UI animations, there are also people who don't; and I am in the latter category. To me, smooth UI cursor advancement and smooth UI animations are annoying in the same way as motion smoothing on a TV is to others. Therefore, to anyone who considers implementing this, I ask that you please make it optional, thank you.
I am waiting for this feature. I think in LibreOffice there should be a feature that, whether I want a smooth UI animation. This feature is very essential for us to work like charm.
Certainly not late to the party here. Nope. Yes, I am in full favor of this. Also with Calc spreadsheets, as in moving from one cell to another.
Smooth cursor movement is the only feature that makes me jealous of people who use MSO.
