ScreenShot

Sometimes while opening LibreOffice, or opening/saving/formating/etc a document, LibreOffice toolbar fonts get corrupted. Closing and opening LibreOffice doesn't solve the problem.
Sometimes other open programs are also affected and their menu and toolbars are also corrupted.
The problem appears to be related to the amount or available resources, because the issue is more frequent if there are many open programs.
When the problem occurs, screen sometimes flashes once or two times. But if I have an external monitor plugged, the effects get worse and screen flashes and flicker for many seconds. At this point sometimes system recover and continues working. Sometimes session hangs and return to login screen. Sometimes all the system freezes and I must turn off computer. Sometimes it rebbots on its own.
LibreOffice is absolutely unusable for me.

Affects: Ubuntu 12.04, 12.10 and 13.04
Affects: Writer, Calc, Impress

Sorry for the long delay - do you still see this problem with 4.1 release?
Comment 2 A (Andy) 2013-12-28 14:59:18 UTC
If it should still persist with the latest release of LO, could you please give detailed information about the steps to reproduce it.
Comment 3 Walter Ribeiro 2013-12-30 11:39:17 UTC
The problem still occurs, fortunately in a lower frequency. After I increase the video memory in the BIOS Setup, the BUG started to occur more occasionally. It just shows that it is related to the amount of resources available and suggests that LibreOffice uses more system resources than other programs.
The issue is also related to nvidia driver (nvidia-304-updates - 304.88).

Moving to UNCONFIRMED as we need an independent source to confirm it not the person who reported.

Bjoern - any thoughts on this one? Thinking it may be driver issue but since OP is Ubuntu based and compiz generally is found with Ubuntu these days, wanted to get your feedback.

@Walter Ribeiro
are you still seeing this issue one year later using recent 4.3.4.1 LibO release?
