Please provide detailed information & steps how you do installation, otherwise no one could confirm the problem.

please answer 2 questions:

1- which is exactly your Windows XP version: 32 or 64bit?

2- as suggested in bug 57185, please tell us if the portable version runs on your machine or has issues as well. download it from here: http://www.winpenpack.com/main/download.php?view.1354

Can only answer question 1 at the moment. Its Windows XP Home Edition from 2002 so not been updated.
