Installing LibreOffice 4.1.0.4 on Microsoft Windows 7 Enterprise (Version 6.1 Build 7601: Service Pack 1), I used the custom (not typical) installation choice and I *unchecked* the "create shortcut on Desktop" checkbox. At the end of install, a shortcut was create anyway.

The LibreOffice install shows me an interface in French; don't know if it makes a difference to this bug or not.
