Description Paul Faber 2013-08-21 21:57:56 UTC
Problem description: The user documentation describes a <View> <Task Pane> menu selection. As a new user, I "x-ed out" the task pane to begin creating a slide. When I tried to find a way to bring it back, I noticed the menu option did not exist.

I eventually figured out how to add the menu item back to <View> using the customization tool.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Go to "View" menu
2. Look for "Task Pane" selection in the drop-down list
3. It does not appear, but is described as a default option in the software user documentation.

Current behavior: <Task Pane> needs to be added to the <View> menu using the customization feature.

Expected behavior: <Task Pane> should be a default configuration setting.

Note: I did a software update to 4.1 from a previous version (4.0 I think) but have never customized menus or changed the default configuration on the previous installation --- all my LibreOffice installations have been "factory standard" from your downloadable software installer.

Operating System: Windows 8

Actually, probably a duplicate of 68160.

I should add I'm on linux (ubuntu 12.10), running 4.1.1.2.
