Didn't check in Word, but even in LibreOffice it is without the period and it inserts a checked checkbox -type of character before "Vestibulum". I did check in Word2007 and I don't see how you could create a footnote sequence with before OR after characters. Thus, I'm guessing that word doesn't support this feature and therefore it won't be part of the docx capabilities. Probably should mark as NotABug, but instead changing to NEEDINFO. Please provide a sample document created *in MSWord* with this feature, which when round-tripped by LO is lost. (Having said that, in Word it IS possible to manually type other characters around the footnote number, so a simple export might work, but then it won't be imported as part of the sequence definition if additional points are added at a later time.)
I just checked in Word 2013, and there is an option to add a "Custom mark" symbol before the footnote number. There is no option in Word 2013 to add a custom symbol after the number, so 'Footnotes/Endnotes Settings -> After' is a LibreOffice-specific feature. I think it's normal to not be able to export this setting to DOCX.
