Description claudiusgerm 2013-09-01 18:47:12 UTC
Libre Office hangs up when I intent to save a larger Writer document (17,1 MB, 153 pages). The problem seems to be in the process "SearchFilterHost.exe" that runs wild at the end of the storing process. LibreOffice can be recovered when killing this process manually.
Smaller texts opened simultaneously could be saved without any problem.
I tried to install several local versions of Libre Office 4.1.0 to 4.1.2 and found the same behaviour in all of them. I did not try it on different computers so far.
The operating system installed is Windows 7 version 6.1 Build 7601: SP1.

Same thing happens here, LibreOffice 4.1.2. I'm working on a large ODF document (300+ pages) with several full-page images in there for good measure. This bug happens fairly randomly, but when I make some changes to the document, the document is saved, but then LibreOffice immediately hangs (toolbar stays greyed out).

I'm forced to kill LibreOffice, andafter that my processors load fluctuates between 60-90%, even though seemingly no processor-hungry processes are running. I'm forced to restart my computer in order to get things back to normal.

One more thing I noticed is that after LibreOffice has crashed, Windows Explorer prevents me from opening the properties window of the ODF file I just tried saving. LibreOffice's recovery program also crashes should I let it try to recover the file.

Iäm using Windows 7 Home with SP1

Confirmed by comment 3, so marking as 'NEW'.
Might be fixed in 4.1.4, as pointed out in Bug 56035. The workaround is to run LibreOffice installation, choose 'Modify' and uncheck the installation of Windows Explorer extensions.
