Created attachment 85075 [details] screenshot showing how text flows outside of the margins / page. Problem description: While working on a document in write I switched to vlc to open a data file. when switching back to continue on my document the screen formatting changed. sometimes the font seems to be switched to digbats sometimes the text continues to the right past the margin and past the actual page width as if it lost the font metrics. If you save the document, close and open it again, nothing was really changed, it appears to simply be in how the document is displayed. Steps to reproduce: 1. open vlc, open a mp3 or mp4 file 2. open write, open a document 3. switch to vlc, open another file media -> open file -> click on parent directory -> select new subdirectory -> click on a new file -> press open button After opening the file, even before write once again receives focus, the formatting changes. alternative to reproduce 1. open write 2. open recent document 3. open ksnapshot, click on "take new snapshot", save file Before write receives focus, the formatting has changed. Note: this behavior is most reproducable when switching directories as part of open/save process. Current behavior: screen formatting changes in open document in write by simply using open or save dialog in another program especially when changing directory in the process. Expected behavior: formatting doesn't change. Env. linux mint 15 kde x64 Version 4.0.2.2 (Build ID 400m0(Build:2)) document was created in write, but is saved (as well as reloaded) in word 97 doc format, yet problem also occurs if document is in odf format. Operating System: Linux (Other) Version: unspecified
Hi, Could you please take a look at Bug 67640, as it looks very similar to your report (LO 4.0.x, Linux, KDE)? Also would be great is you could test the following solutions, and report the results here: 1)Disable hardware acceleration and anti-aliasing (through Tools->Option...->LibreOffice->View). 2) Try that with LibreOffice 4.1 Thanks.
Especially take into account the description of Bug 68325 (which had been marked as a duplicate of Bug 67640).
OK, according to your confirmation at Bug 67640 comment 22, I'll mark this as a duplicate. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 67640 ***
