It can happen, that a recovered file is older than the last saved version. Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Make some changes to the file 2. Let LibreOffice make an autosove 3. Make some more changes to the file 4. Save the file before LibreOffice makes another autosave 5. Make LibreOffice crash in a way so it can't save the file before closing (just happend to me by accident). 6. recover a former version of the file using the recovery dialogue at startup. Sometimes the file from step 6 is older than the file saved in step 4. This shouldn't happen! This just happened to me in LibreOffice 4.0.5.2 Calc, however I imagine that this could happen with any component of LibreOffice. The recovery dialogue should check if the recovered file is actually newer than the last saved version.
Hi Benihennig, have you tried resetting user profile? Possibly duplicate to Bug 68944
With 4.4 master built a few days ago on Ubuntu 14.04 x64 I don't get the recovery window if a save is newer than the last autosave (dialog just doesn't come up). I think this is expected. Marking as WFM - please try again with 4.3 rc or newer and if you still see the issue mark as UNCONFIRMED and we'll try again. Thanks!
