a PDF file to show the phenomenon

When we try to copy a worksheet with comments unhide to another new worksheet, there are extra lines appeared connecting from the comments to the cell A1. Although the extra lines get disappeared if we close the file and reopen it, it is really annoying and inconvenience. Please help to check if we do something to avoid this. Thank you and regards.

On my computer with LibO on Win7 :
- reproduced with your "Sheet1_orig" ; differently reproduced with the one I created
- on the destination sheet from your origine, it appears 6 comments, more or less will superposed ; the 3 extra comments are the ones connected to A1
- on the destination sheet from my origine, the comments are also split, less superposed ; the 3 extra comments appear connected to their original cell
- after a save-close-reopen sequence, all the extra comments have disappeared ; some from my origine appear now wrongly connected to A1.
- I also noticed that a "good" comment always connects to the high-right corner of its cell (on the red indicator), while a "bad" comment may connect to any of 8 gravity points of the cell (corners and side middle).

Could it be that the copy command copy comments both as comments and as drawing elements ?

Confirming Dominique's comment.

Step to reproduce: right click on the tab of the worksheet and choose "Move/Copy the Sheet".

Hi Arnaud, something for you ? Possibly some pointer not well nullified or modified? :-)

Best regards. JBF

Regression does appear in oldest version of bibisect-43all.tar.xz and must be older
Comment 5 Justin L 2014-09-05 15:25:11 UTC
probably related to Bug 75150 (Un-hided cell comments COPIED TWICE when copy sheet). The "second" comment (which disappears after a close/reopen) appears to be the one "connected" through A1.
Comment 6 Timur 2015-07-02 11:56:30 UTC
Looks like a duplicate of Bug 57954.
Please pay attention to the comment "In later versions the additional callouts in new sheet are "Anchored" (arrowhead end of line) to top left corner of A1".

Migrating Whiteboard tags to Keywords: (prebibisect )

It's not an extra line - it's a duplicated comment box behind it. Drag and drop the comment box so you can see it.
