I have installed several LibreOffice versions in parallel for testing purposes. When I enable/disable the Quickstarter in one LibreOffice version, this setting affects all other installed LibreOffice versions too. (Comment: every version has its own user directory.) Expected behavior: The Quickstarter is only enabled/disabled in that LibreOffice version, in which I enabled/disabled it. Shown behavior: The Quickstarter is enabled/disabled in all installed LibreOffice versions. This behavior concerns here all versions from 3.3 to 4.2 (Alpha1). My system configuration: Debian Linux Testing (x86) with XFCE UI and LibreOffice 4.1.2.3 (distro edition) as well as various community editions in parallel (every with its own user directory).
Hello Christian, *, I can confirm it with installed LO Version: 4.1.3.2 Build ID: 70feb7d99726f064edab4605a8ab840c50ec57a (with installed Germanophone lang- as well as helppack), parallel installed versions master 4.2.0.0.alpha1+ Build ID: 518f404db780939e3f1d96300ebeeb1faaad6838 TinderBox: Linux-rpm_deb-x86_64@46-TDF, Branch:master, Time: 2013-11-07_00:43:33 and also Version: 4.2.0.0.alpha1+ Build ID: 518f404db780939e3f1d96300ebeeb1faaad6838 TinderBox: Linux-rpm_deb-x86_64@46-TDF, Branch:master, Time: 2013-11-07_00:43:33 (also with installed Germanophone lang- as well as helppack) under Debian Testing AMD64 and KDE 4.10.5 ... :( When I enable the Quickstarter via "Tools – Options – LibreOffice – Memory" in 4.1.3.2, the Quickstarter opens in KDE's taskbar. If I then start either master and/or 4.2.0.0alpha1, I suddenly see additional Quickstarter(s) there, too ... :( I have installed master as well as 4.2.0.0alpha1 following the instructions on https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Installing_in_parallel#Step_4_-_Optional.2C_but_Recommended_when_Testing:_Changing_the_User_Profile_location, which should lead to a separate user profile in the install directory. I was expecting, that opening a Quickstarter in one version would not interfere with the other versions ... :( HTH Thomas.

The problem still exists in LibreOffice 4.3.3.2 (Debian Jessie (Testing) distro edition) with all versions from 3.3 to 4.4 installed in parallel.

The problem still exists in LibreOffice 5.2.4.2.1+ (Debian Jessie (Testing) distro edition) with all versions from 3.3 to 5.3 (LO editions) installed in parallel.
the problem is conceptual. The option adds qstart.desktop (for the Gtk applet) to your desktops autostart. So obviously it then is active on all versions.

The bug is no bug anymore as the Quickstarter is removed from LibreOffice since 6.1.
