Description Petar Velkovski 2013-11-25 22:36:47 UTC
After "few minutes" of working with Writer, the whole User Interface starts flashing.

I suspect that the "few minutes" mentioned in my statement above, is in correlation to the "Minutes" setting in Tools->Options->Load/Save->General->"Save AutoRecovery information every" option, which in my case is set to 2 minutes. This I also have the Automaticaly save the document too option checked.

From what I can see is happening, it's like Writer is trying to save "something" but fails to do so, and enters in an infinite loop. The status bar is showing that Saving is performed - there is a rapid change between indicating the current page displayed and the "Saving..." string, there is also a progress bar going from 0% to "something" (this happens incredibly fast so i can't even be sure what's going on. The led indicator showing hard disk activity is flashing.
In some rare cases the "auto save" is working fine, so I can go on using Writer for a longer period.
The User Interface flashing is probably due to a constant redrawing of itself. Sometimes i can successfully open the "File" menu and choose the Quit option, but sometimes this mouse inputs fail too.
Once (or twice) the program managed to get out of this behaviour (constant UI redrawing and auto saving activity ceased), but the document I was working on ended up being corrupted, with a file size 30 times bigger than it should have been (I'm not sure if this happened because of this bug, or because of a bug in the font embedding option that I used with that document).
