Description Joris Claassen 2014-01-15 10:12:04 UTC

A selection of objects which should have been a small PDF file.

Problem description:
Exporting a Draw section as PDF does always generate a full page PDF file, instead of a smaller file (to include in a tex report).

Steps to reproduce:
1. Create some objects
2. Select some or all objects
3. Export as PDF
4. Set range to Selection
5. Click Export

Current behavior:
PDF always is A4 size, no matter how big the selection

Expected behavior:
Create a PDF sized accordingly to the selection, as is the behavior when exporting as EPS (workaround, later converting EPS->PDF
Operating System: Ubuntu
Version: 4.1.4.2 release

Is this bug still valid / reproducible with the latest pre-release 4.2.0.2: http://www.libreoffice.org/download/pre-releases/

Please also try resetting your user profile and let us know if that helps: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile

Should this be still reproducible for you with the latest LO release please set this bug back to UNCONFIRMED. Should this issue be solved set it to WORKSFORME.

Setting to NEEDINFO until more detail is provided.

Also please attach a test Draw file so this can easily be reproduced.

I tested again using the newest LibreOffice 4.2 prerelease and a clean UserProfile. The results are the same, uploaded the created selection.odg and exported selection.pdf (created using 4.2).
Comment 5 Dominique Boutry 2014-01-16 09:37:31 UTC
Reproducible with LibO 4.2.0.2 on Win7.

Still present in LO 5.0.2.2 Linux ubuntu 64 release on Impress (same mechanism but with the output PDF "stuck" in slide size).
