Description [REDACTED] 2014-02-11 10:44:37 UTC
With LibreOffice 4.2 the option to choose modules was removed as they were only shortcuts. This makes me thinking of why we don't provide the ability to natively support of selecting modules (not only shortcuts). For example if somebody wants to install only Calc and Writer the other modules aren't getting installed at all.

Hi,

Complicated with all the code shared and then for the gain of some 10 MB ?

Ciao,
Cor

The linux version has the modules split out too. Is it so much trouble to do this on Windows too? Also based on the information of Ubuntu (LibreOffice 4.2.0 RC4) all six modules itself have an installed size of ~79 MiB.

I totally agree with Cor Nouws (and developers do too) that this bug is marked as RESOLVED WONTFIX.
