Description Martin Motschmann 2014-02-12 07:13:02 UTC
I often get some Pivot tables from public organisations (XLXS). This Pivtot I can't use. When I use Excel to migrate the document to XLS and open it again - I can use the Pivot. In the migrated file (XLS) the Pivot couls be uses.

It should be more efficient if the XLSX Pivot could be readable too.

Can you please provide a test document so this can be tested against and subsequently be confirmed. If your document contains sensitive data, please clear that or replace it with random information.

A step-by-step description of how to reproduce the issue is most helpful and will help to speed up the processing of this problem a lot.

Setting to NEEDINFO until more detail is provided.

After providing the requested info, please reset this bug to UNCONFIRMED. Thanks :)

Pivot

Open in LO 4.2 -> Useless content inside.

Open this XLSX File in Ecxel 2010. Save as XLS. Use in LO 4.2.

Just a note that I can't open the document under Ubuntu 13.10 and Version: 4.2.2.1 Build ID: 3be8cda0bddd8e430d8cda1ebfd581265cca5a0f, it opens fine in 4.1.5.3, but there is no pivot table inside - Sophie

What do you meen with you cant't open it in 4.2.2.1? Didn't it open or what happens?

> 4.1.5.3, but there is no pivot table inside

Well - that the probelm! There should be a pivot table.
Comment 5 Kevin Suo 2014-03-15 00:46:55 UTC
Reproducible in Fedora 20
Lireoffice 4.2.2.1 Build ID: 3be8cda0bddd8e430d8cda1ebfd581265cca5a0f
Libreoffice 4.1.5.3 Build ID: 1c1366bba2ba2b554cd2ca4d87c06da81c05d24

Unzip the attached file, you will see there should be a pivot table in range A14:A15, but LO only imported the value of the pivot table.

Set to new.

I am sure this is the same issue as discussed in
Bug 58691 - PIVOTTABLE: export to Excel 2007/2010 breaks functionality

Set as duplicate.
