When I add a border to cells in a large spreadsheet the border is displayed correctly. After saving the file, closing and opening it again the borders are disappeared.

As original bug reported never uploaded a file, I have done so.

I have the same problem of disappearing borders with LibreOffice Calc 4.2.6.3.

OS = Windows 7 SP1 64-bit (updates current to-date)
processor = AMD Phenom II X4 965
RAM = 8GB

are you still seeing this bug in 4.3.2.2?

could you please give step-to-step instructions to create a Calc file from scratch with those disappearing borders?

in your attached file the border are already gone.
we need to reproduce the issue of creating borders and see them disappear after saving, closing and reloading it.

is there any particular sequence that triggers the bug?

I can reproduce with LO 4.3.2.2, win7
Steps:
select A1:C21
Format -> Cell
Borders
Border style: double line
Color: Chart3
Save file as .ods
Reopen file
