Description mwmisiek 2014-05-12 16:43:08 UTC
Problem description:
created pivottable is not saved properly in new M$ Office xlsx (2010) format.

Steps to reproduce:
1. open spredasheet
2. create pivottable
3. save as xlxs (2010) and save as xls (2003)
4. close libreoffice
5. re-open xlsx - you should see pivot table is gone - there will be only table with data
6. re-open xls file - everything should work fine

Current behavior:
xlsx format is not saving pivot table data

Expected behavior:
xlsx should be saved properly with pivottable data

Operating System: All
Version: 4.2.4.2 rc

Sample file with pivot table to test saving as xlsx

Hi @mwmisiek, thanks for reporting.

Seem works fine saving as xls.

Sample file with a pivot table, saving as xlsx, hangs on opening with:
Version: 4.1.6.2 Build ID: 40ff705089295be5be0aae9b15123f687c05b0a
Versión: 4.2.4.2 Id. de compilación: 63150712c6d317d27ce2db16eb94c2f3d7b699f8

It's possible to open saving as xlsx, but without the pivot, table only their data, with:

Hi,

I can reproduce the issue with LO 4.3.0. I cannot download the first file due to an error so i've uploaded a new set of samples for test.

Case:
- In xls version
 * Coloumn B(filter) goes inactive
 * Data(Veri) row seems active but when you right click and Refresh cells disappear and only one cell left which shows the total sum

- In xlsx version
  * Pivot table functionality disappears completely and cells behave as regular cells.

Best regards,
Zeki

Looking at such issues in version 4.3.1.2

Creating a pivot table in excel, opening in calc and works.
Save from calc in xlsx and pivot table is removed by excel when opening
Save fresh copy as xls from calc and excel opens ok and filters work
Save fresh copy as xls from calc, close and open in calc, need to right click then refresh to get all filters working.

(This is an automated message.)

Setting priority to highest as this is a MAB. This is part of an effort to make the importance of MAB reflected in priority too.

Version -> 3.6.7.2

It's possible that saving a pivot table in XLSX format has yet to be implemented. Still, as a MAB and a quick repro, it's not a bad idea to test earlier versions for completeness.

Closing as duplicate in favor of bug 89139 because that one has an original Excel .xlsx attachment for comparison.
