Created attachment 101357 [details] Picture of what it looks when their is read error in picture file Problem description: As I am a user of Libra Office but when i added pictures to my document In Writer and saved it in .docx format. After reopening it again i saw all my pictures vanished with a read error message. Leading to loss of data and time. Steps to reproduce: 1. .... 2. .... 3. .... Current behavior: Pictures just vanished with a read error after saving as .docx file Expected behavior: pictures should remain intact even after saving as .docx file format Operating System: Windows 7 Version: 4.1.6.2 release
This issue has been fixed in LibreOffice 4.2.4, though i cant reproduce it in 4.1.6. Version 4.1 is past its EOL (end-of-line), so if its found in this version, i presume it wont be fixed. So i encourage you to upgrade to 4.2.4 or 4.3.0 when it release in a month. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 77478 ***
Hi Apul, I should clarify my previous message. This isnt a libreoffice 4.1 read error for docx files, this is likely a libreoffice 4.2 save error for docx files. So the user who created the docx file that you are trying to open, should upgrade to 4.2.4 or higher, so that you will be able to open docx files without the read error.
