web layout -- comparing the -- print layout
If a document is saved as view -> "web layout", it looks very ugly on the new LibreOffice page, as shown on the picture in the right bellow. If I save similar document as the "Print layout", the first page is shown nicely as expected. That is not such a problem if the document is short, but it is for long document.
Can you make that also in "web layout" the first page would be shown nicely not so ugly. That new look is very practical, because someone can see from the picture what kind of document is clicking, no need to read the title, so it is faster :)
Thank you for your time

test file saved in web layout mode
tested under WinXP 32bit using LibO 220.127.116.11
I confirm the issue and I attach a test file.
basically it seems that if you save a long document in web layout mode, the start center thumbnail which is generated shows a preview of the document in the same modality not of the first page like when you save it in print mode.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a short comment that includes your version of LibreOffice and Operating System
Please DO NOT
Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case)
If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3)
2. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to "inherited from OOo"; 4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add "regression" to keyword

width differs to the usual DIN A4 writer documents. web layout is more narrow. not sure why. maybe intended?
Would be good to backport to 5.0 and 4.4 if possible.
