Steps to reproduce:

Thanks for your clear bug report.
Please attach the bug document to the bug report itself (https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=81494), so once it got deleted from Dropbox, we still can access the test document.

I can confirm this behavior, tested using Mac OSX 10.9 with LibreOffice Version: 4.4.0.0.alpha0+
Build ID: 7dd5f9308895644ae6ece56253c892046cc6ed5e
TinderBox: MacOSX-x86@49-TDF, Branch:master, Time: 2014-07-16_07:40:22

It is not shadow-text perse, it is additional/double text. If you click correctly you can select the shadow-like text and delete it.

Kind regards,
Joren

This issue is reproducible.

Steps to reproduce this issue :

1. Create a presentation in powerpoint 2010 having text and insert any equation (mathematics or normal).

2. Open this pptx in LibreOffice, it shows the text and equation double.
