Description Mel 2014-07-20 17:45:37 UTC
Spellchecker fails to find ANY errors. No matter what I do, it just comes up immediately with the "Check Complete" box but does not underline any of the errors that I put in as a check (including some gross ones).

Even though everything else appears to work normally, this is a bit of a show stopper.

I have even uninstalled and reinstalled the component, but this makes no difference. Should I download a new version from the original source, and if so, which one ? I'm using Linux Mint Maya 13.

well the 3.5.7.2 version you are using is kinda "jurassic" and no longer supported from ages...

try upgrading to current 4.2.5.2 and see if things improve.
before doing that I suggest a full uninstall of the 3.5.7.2

I set status to NEEDINFO
when you have done please change status to UNCONFIRMED if issue is still there or RESOLVED WORKSFORME if you no longer reproduce the bug

You need to configure your dictionaries and be sure that the language is correctly defined in your paragraph styles.
This bug tracker is not an helpdesk. Please ask for help about configuring and using dictionaries and spellchecker on AskLibo : http://ask.libreoffice.org or on the users mailing-list (users@global.libreoffice.org).

I propose to close this bug report as INVALID.

Best regards. JBF

JBF: Is this related to bug 81921? Are we running into an issue of not providing (clear) enough information?
