Problem description: Steps to reproduce: 1. Open Writer 2. Format > Page 3. On Page Tab Select #10 Envelope for Format 4. Also select Landscape for Orientation 5. OK 6. Type at least one line in upper left as return address 7. New line (Enter) down to middle 8. Tab over to middle 9. Type at least one line for mail address 10. File > Print 11. In Print dialog, preview on left shows Envelope in Portrait Orientation. 12. Click on Properties button. 13. Paper tab in Properties dialog box shows Orientation as P:ortrait. 14. Select landscape Orientation here. 15. OK 16. Print preview on Print dialog shows envelope on lanscape orientation now. 17. Click OK to print. 18. Envelope still prints Portrait. #10 envelopes do this all the time. US Letter size does it some times. If I take a US letter and customize it to half size as in 4.25 by 5.5 and make it landscape. It will always print in Portrait. However, if make it 6.25 by 7.5 and make it landscape, it will sometimes print in landscape. Seems to be sensitive to horizontal vs. width ratio. Current behavior: Under some conditions, such as US #10 Envelope will always print Portrait orientation even though all parameters of the document and printer are set to landscape. Expected behavior: If a document is set to landscape, expect it to print landscape. TRied this on multiple machines running different versions of linux. One of my Windows boxes running Libre Office 4.1.5.2 does not do this. Nor did 4.1.xx on my linux boxes. I have had to switch back to Windows until I can recover and older copy of LibreOffice for my linux boxes. Operating System: Fedora Version: 4.2.5.2 release
@Joe Nicholls please take a look at Bug 82370 do you think it's the same issue?
For me not reproducible with LO 4.3.2.2 (Win 8.1) when trying to print it with the PDF printer. The pdf is in landscape orientation, but the pdf page size do not correspond to the #10 envelope page size.
@Joe Nicholls I had no feedback from you but according to another user comment ( https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=82370#c7 ) I'm gonna mark this as a duplicate. by the way which model is your printer? let me guess... it's a Brother printer? *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 82370 ***
