When trying to insert an image from file, the dialog doesn't open. Steps to reproduce:
- open a Writer document
- chose Insert > Image > From File...
==> nothing happens

It works correctly on Windows 7 sp1, 64-bit with todays build

I get a popup native selection dialog to pick the image. Pastes in correct to Writer document.

On pc Debian x86-64 with master sources updated yesterday, I don't reproduce this.
Sophie: could you give a try to a newer daily build (if needed, with a brand new LO profile)?

Let's assume that it's indeed the generic dialog, since I'm not able to reproduce with any other. In that case it should be fixed by the same commit as Bug 78845. Feel free to reopen if that's not the case.

Hi Maxim, yes, I use the generic LO dialog. I tested it on my Debian system with the last daily and could not reproduce. Thanks :) Sophie
