Looks similar to Bug #80927 and #82026 I recently upgraded my LibreOffice installation to version 4.3.0.4 from 4.2.5. Since then, LO consistently freezes up in the User Account that I use for myself. When I logon to my account, the quickstarter throws up a message that LO has crashed and will attempt to recover the following documents, but the list of documents is empty. Clicking on OK does nothing. Clicking on the red X to close the dialogue gets the Windows message, “Program is not responding. Windows can Check for a Solution and Close/Close/Wait.” Closing the program doesn't help. Even when Task Manager shows that it is gone, starting up LO from the desktop icon shows the splash, then a blank white window which freezes in the same state. Task Manager shows 1 second of CPU consumed, and about 53Mb of working memory, and then nothing happens until I kill the program. Details: Computer is running under Windows Vista Home Premium SP2, with all Windows Updates applied. There are several User Accounts on the machine, one administrative, two regular user, and one guest. The LibreOffice program is always downloaded and installed using the administrative account and made available for all users. My account is the only one having the problem; the Admin user and other user and guest user do not have any problem. This problem only began showing up with the upgrade to LO ver 4.3.0.4. I don't know where user options are stored, but I am willing to try deleting them and starting from a 'clean' profile if someone will tell me where to look.
I have tried the suggested workaround of renaming quickstart.exe, and that does indeed avoid the problem.
Hi, per your second comment I'm marking it as dup of 80927. Sophie *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 80927 ***
