Description Ljiljan 2014-10-04 08:07:36 UTC
SIMPLE FEATURE REQUEST:

if would be useful if in File menu could be add new menu item "Overwrite XYZ.png" (above current menu item "Export") . This menu would be enabled only in cases you have already exported drawings and wish to make changes so you don't want to go through all steps in Export dialog but rather use last options.
Operating System: All
Version: 4.3.2.2 release

enhancement request. set version to 3.3.0 since LibO never had this feature.

Another entry in the main menu is questionable because it wasn't there before and is a hidden feature therefore. But the save dialog itself could remember the previous settings with file type, name etc. And the options dialog could be shown on demand when a checkbox is set, or the like.

I don't know why additional menu item is questionable? Specially if this new item will save time working in LibreOffice Draw.

But I like your suggestion as well. Export dialog could remember last filename and type.

Yes this option in GIMP is highly used, as you'd open a PNG to modify it and then have to export it as a PNG rather than saving it as XCF, but unlike GIMP, LO has easy access to export in the standard toolbar and also has a large File menu (23 items now), so adding another entry in the File menu isnt an option.

Please file another enhancement report about remembering the settings of the export dialog.
