Created attachment 111603 [details] picture for comparison Problem description: Libre office is good but it need more improvments on its interface to be like MS office interface to get in the competition. see the picture, http://www.4shared.com/download/ol0DEV9Oce/_online.PNG?lgfp=3000 i tried to learn my father on libre office it was hard on him to understand how to do his works(how to insert,to edit page layout, to make equations, ...etc) he never used MS office before but he could do his works in few days -even my little brother(10years) he could learn on MS office easly- beacuase of MS office interfce (graphics and shapes) not just a WORD we press on it then shows us drop-down lists. we hope to improvments on the UI soon don't stuck with old UI it is 2015.

Hi myp1lteandroid@gmail.com, have you tried enabling the sidebar and removing the top toolbars? I think you'll find it's a heck of a lot better than that ribbon - especially if you have a larger (aka modern) screen.
NO. This is WONTFIX. It's been decided internally. If you are willing to work on it, I can't hold you back. Then provide a patch and dev department will look into it.
Hi myp1lteandroid, Unfortunately the ribbon UI is copyrighted by microsoft and in order to use it, we would have to pay microsoft, so it will not be implemented.
