Description josiasmat 2015-01-03 17:19:29 UTC
Currently, if you open the navigator through the menu or toolbar, it opens on a new window. My suggestion is to open the navigator by default in the sidebar.

Hi Josiasmat,

The choice for this behaviour is made because people often use both the Navigator and the Styles and Formatting window both open (and docked).

If you open the Navigator with the icon on the side bar, it opens there. That does meet your needs?

Cheers,
Cor

Yes, it does meet my needs. It was only a matter of standardization or homogeneity. But if that behavior is by design, no problem; you can close the bug.

Thank you!

@josiasmat,

Yes allowing Navigator to run detached in separate dialog was needed for full function Sidebar, setting invalid...

Eventual work on bug 85905 should improve consistent behavior of this and other undocked Sidebar decks.

thanks for responding josiasmat.
There's a whole lot going on in the UI, so pls keep your eyes open. Better one report to much then one to little ;)
Cheers,
Cor
