Split from bug 42692 Opening the attached SVG in Draw fails to apply a clipping path. It should show the intersection of a circle and a rectangle, but instead shows the full circle. Before the below commit, the clipping path is shown separately as a filled black rectangle, but this too was incorrect (i.e. the below changed the behaviour but didn't fix the issue with this file) commit 5e27d23d7e665cc0aeac8fc9ea2236bf8bc088ff Author: Chr. Confirmed. Win 7 Pro 64-bit, LibO Version: 4.4.1.2 Build ID: 45e2de17089c24a1fa810c8f975a7171ba4cd432 Locale: fi_FI
Created attachment 114625 [details] Screenshot of inserted svg in Draw (Version: 4.5.0.0.alpha0+) SVG is inserted into Draw fine for me. Opening shows the full circle. Version: 4.5.0.0.alpha0+
Reproducible with LO 4.4.1.2, Win 8.1: it shows a full circle instead of a clipped circle
Comment 3 is wrong. Correct comment is: Circle is clipped as documented in the screenshot in the corresponding attachment.
(In reply to Christina Rossmanith from comment #5) > Comment 3 is wrong. Correct comment is: Circle is clipped as documented in > the screenshot in the corresponding attachment. It's not clipped in 4.5 for me. Full circle seen in 3.3 (go-oo filter), 3.6 (oracle filter) and master (apache filter). Version: 4.5.0.0.alpha0+ Build ID: b024e36ddb3b53163d7a01f6f7b5aadb7a858cd9 TinderBox: Linux-rpm_deb-x86@45-TDF, Branch:master, Time: 2015-03-31_08:18:46
Insert > Image is OK. File > Open is wrong. I have used Version: 5.0.0.0.alpha1+ Build ID: e9fbe1f7cd28de2a9da8089d89e903406165eb56 TinderBox: Win-x86@62-merge-TDF, Branch:MASTER, Time: 2015-04-25_00:22:55 Locale: de_DE It is not "Inherit From OOo". Neither OpenOffice 3.4.1 nor any of the Apache OpenOffice versions show this wrong behavior in File > Open. It is a LibreOffice own bug. Apache OpenOffice uses a different implementation for File > Open than LibreOffice. It is not a "Apache filter". The summary should be changed from "Importing" to "File Open".
Confirmed behaviour isnt in AOO 4.1.1.

** Please read this message in its entirety before responding ** To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present on a currently supported version of LibreOffice (5.2.7 or 5.3.3 https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the version of LibreOffice and your operating system, and any changes you see in the bug behavior If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a short comment that includes your version of LibreOffice and Operating System Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to "inherited from OOo"; 4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add "regression" to keyword Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat: http://webchat.freenode.net/?channels=libreoffice-qa Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone!
