Description: 1. Open writer; 2. Open gallery in sidebar (from what I can tell it's no longer available in toolbar) 3. Open file browser; 4. Find a folder with a picture inside; 5. Try to drag the image into the sidebar gallery Expected: Image adds Observed: Can't add image. This is a regression - I've tried to bibisect and it's either not showing up in bibisect or it appears after the last commit in the bibisect package. Ubuntu 15.04 x64 LibreOffice 4.4.2.2 release & LibreOffice 5 alpha0
Works fine for me. Yes gallery is only available in the sidebar as of 4.4. Version: 5.0.0.0.alpha1+ Build ID: 1aa43709f1eafe76bb5b2c658bf88c16bb73ea4f TinderBox: Linux-rpm_deb-x86@45-TDF, Branch:master, Time: 2015-05-05_01:55:06
Apparently this might be DE specific - I'm using Unity
Not reproducable for me on Windows 7 - master TDF@39 2015-04-22 Linux Mint 17 Cinammon - master TDF@45 2015-04-22 Xubuntu 14.04 - master TDF@45 2015-03-15
Could reproduce on Ubuntu with 4.4.2, but not with any other tested versions. Let's set to NEW and invite further testing. Using Ubuntu with Unity. @Bjoern - this apparently is only affecting Ubuntu running Unity DE - have any thoughts by chance?
Hi Joel, Works fine for me, Ubuntu 15.04 Unity 32 bits, Version: 4.4.3.2 Build ID: 88805f81e9fe61362df02b9941de8e38a9b5fd16 Locale: nl_NL How is it for you in 4.4.3?
Reproducible with LO 5.0.2.2, Ubuntu 15.10, Unity and Version: 5.1.0.0.alpha1+ Build ID: 32d4c03cba399ada807b8ec113a3928aa9e3ff7b TinderBox: Linux-rpm_deb-x86_64@70-TDF, Branch:master, Time: 2015-11-17_00:57:30
(In reply to Yousuf (Jay) Philips from comment #1) > Works fine for me. Yes gallery is only available in the sidebar as of 4.4. I should correct this statement as the gallery has been in the sidebar since 4.1, but only exclusively in the sidebar since 4.4, so it would be good to test 4.1 to 4.3 to see if this is a regression on the Unity desktop environment. Would be useful to also test if this is a 64-bit only issue.
It's not at all a good use of time to test 64/32 bit - over years in QA (and thousands and thousands of bugs triaged) I think I've seen a total of 2 bugs that have depended on the architecture.... The other test is probably valid.
(In reply to Joel Madero from comment #2) > Apparently this might be DE specific - I'm using Unity What is "DE" ? I'm using Unity too. And 32 bits ... (have seen more than 2 issues where 32/64 bits matters..)
(In reply to Cor Nouws from comment #10) > What is "DE" ? I'm using Unity too. Desktop Environment.
(In reply to Yousuf (Jay) Philips from comment #11) > (In reply to Cor Nouws from comment #10) > > What is "DE" ? I'm using Unity too. > > Desktop Environment. Ah, DE set my mind thinking in direction of locales ( our neighbors :) ) So conclusion: no it is not related to Unity (sec at the least).
Migrating Whiteboard tags to Keywords: (bibisectRequest) [NinjaEdit]
With the latest master, the problem is gone. Now there is this little bug of the thumbnail not showing up: bug 96418 For testers, be careful about the drag'n'drop unintuitive workflow: https://help.libreoffice.org/Common/Adding_Graphics_to_the_Gallery I confirmed the problem was still in 5.0.3 with Unity. Adding keyword 'bibisectRequest'.
Heh, seems my last comment was confused (my steps involved inserting an image to the document). Yet, the problem is gone: if I open Ubuntu file browser, I can drag images to the sidebar gallery.
