Created attachment 116886 [details] screenshot help for "time format conversion" Opening the local help in Calc and finding for "Conversione" (conversion) then clicking on "Conversione formato orario" (time format) displays the help "Convertire testo in numeri" (converting text to numbers), the same help dispayed clicking on "testo in numeri" (see the attachments). You can look at that text help at the link https://help.libreoffice.org/Calc/Converting_Text_to_Numbers <<< Converting Text to Numbers (= IT version: Convertire testo in numeri) Calc converts text inside cells to the respective numeric values if an unambiguous conversion is possible. If no conversion is possible, Calc returns a #VALUE! error. .......... >>> The question: I don't think that is the issue, they are two different arguments. Further, the help is not clear and example too is very poor (is that what you intend for "conversion"?. May you investigate and explain? Thanks

These are simply different links to the same page. Maybe we can render in a different way the translation, so that you can find them in a different and far place. I could change, for example, "Conversione formato orario" to "Orario, conversione del formato".
@gmarco: As Valter explained in comment 2, those entries in “Index” (Indice) both link to the same page, which is normal in an index. Indices help you find topics with various keywords. Don’t confuse it with the actual topic tree, which is the purpose of the “Contents” (Contenuto) tab. What is your opinion on Valter’s suggested change in translation?
(In reply to Adolfo Jayme from comment #3) Hi Adolfo, thanks for reminding me the question. The argument is a bit more complex and in July I had reasoned privately with Valter (Italian like me) because my mastery of English is limited. I have some experience and exactly know the mean and the difference between an index, a cross reference, and so on. I well know also the big difficulties in constructing good help/guides and related references/keywords. I am now using LO 5.0.3.2 and something has been revised, but much work would be still to do, I think Valter is aware of the matter. A few examples only: 1- searching for “convertire” I can get some items, between them I see the function ORARIO but nothing about other functions like FISSO, T, CONVERTI, NUM, ORARIO.VALORE, … 2- digiting instead into the search field “convers” it gets automatically fullfilled “conversione formato orario” and I get two items only (ORARIO.VALORE and Convertire testo in numeri). 3- probably it is not a documentation matter, it might be a bug, but the function ORARIO.VALORE gives “Err:502”: try to input =ORARIO.VALORE("4PM") or =ORARIO.VALORE("24:00") as in the examples. 4- digiting for searching FISSO or T (only as examples) I cannot see the related items, I can find infos only opening the item “Categoria Testo”. This said, I think the question has a minor importance and can be closed.
The item is still in NEEDINFO status, but I was thinking to have replied on november last. What about?

Hi, I was thinking to have already replied on 2015-11-28. Nevertheless I can now say: - the local help has changed a lot and I cannot repeat the previous observations - but a question is still present 3- probably it is not a documentation matter, it might be a bug, but the function ORARIO.VALORE gives “Err:502”: try to input =ORARIO.VALORE("4PM") or =ORARIO.VALORE("24:00") as in the examples. Will you verify? Let me know Regards

Anyway I don't understand which info are needed: the function ORARIO.VALORE as exemplified in both online and local help gives “Err:502”: try to input =ORARIO.VALORE("4PM") or =ORARIO.VALORE("24:00") as in the examples. I don't know in EN, but in IT both the examples get “Err:502”. However you can close this bug, if you like, as the topic is treated more extensively in another bug (96140 and attachment 130160 [details]).
