Description Ben Gravely 2015-07-02 14:26:36 UTC
This may be a feature request rather than a bug, although it may be both.

In Calc, the hyperlink search window (Document Path) will only connect to a file. I want to connect to a folder.

A work around is to put a dummy file into a folder, connect to the file, then erase the file name in the Document Path window.

For example:

file:///Users/bgravely/Holocene%20Technologies/Projects/SPS%20-%20Sundance%20Power%20Systems/Catawba%20College/Dummy file.ods

becomes

file:///Users/bgravely/Holocene%20Technologies/Projects/SPS%20-%20Sundance%20Power%20Systems/Catawba%20College/

When Apply is click, this works.

I would like to be able to skip the dummy file work around. It can be quite tedious with many files.

Confirmed.

Workaround :
(1) Right-click on a file in the folder → Properties → copy the path of the folder ...

@Alex : you're probably right about it not working before. Come to think of it, I don't have a clear remembrance of it working (but I didn't try to use it when I had Oo).
Apparently, the basic system code does support it, see e.g. (answer #1):

This is more an enhancement. The file window dialog should allow you to select folders, not just files
