For OS X: Text services do not show in the contextual menu or in the Application menu. This is used for all sorts of things, such as adding Lorem Ipsum text to documents, Auotmator actions (say to look up words in a specific dictionary), viewing the text in other programs, creating an email with that text, etc.
What do you mean by "text services"? Set status to NEEDINFO, please, set it back to UNCONFIRMED once you have provided requested information. Best regards. JBF
Made a quick video to explain what I mean by "Text Services". The standard on OS X is pretty much any program which works with text has access to services from the Application menu and, optionally, from the contextual menu. These are not available in LibreOffice. A quick video to show and explain them: http://prescottcomputerguy.com/tmp/lo/text-services/
Seems to be the same thing as extensions: menu Tools > Extension manager. Best regards. JBF
No, itβs not the same thing as Extensions (!)
(In reply to Jean-Baptiste Faure from comment #3) > Seems to be the same thing as extensions: menu Tools > Extension manager. > > Best regards. JBF Not at all. These are system services provided by Apple, third party companies, and users which should work throughout the system. The extensions you point to are specific to LibreOffice.
FWIW, yes, LibreOffice should IMHO implement the Services menu as these services are available for other apps on OSX. Tested against : Version: 5.3.0.0.alpha0+ Build ID: 3a668616968dbce778c54ec56847828efa7bdb6d CPU Threads: 8; OS Version: Mac OS X 10.12; UI Render: default; Locale: fr-FR (fr_FR.UTF-8); Calc: group Still no services available. However, I would imagine that this requires some in-depth knowledge of the OSX Services API and of course someone willing and able to do the coding.
