Created attachment 117598 [details] Windows taskbar without Writer icon I just did a clean install of LibreOffice 5.0rc5 (64-bit) on Windows 7. In the Windows taskbar, the icon for Writer is missing. See attached screenshot. Version: 5.0.0.5 (x64) Build ID: 1b1a90865e348b492231e1c451437d7a15bb262b Locale: en-US (en_US) Windows 7 professional service pack 1
Huh.. I wonder, if it's the same as this bug that was reported against Linux (and fixed, but fix is not yet in 5.0.0.5): bug 92765
I can not confirm with Verze: 5.0.0.5 (x64) ID sestavení: 1b1a90865e348b492231e1c451437d7a15bb262b, win10 & win7
Additional information: I just checked again: In the taskbar, the Writer icon is broken/missing (as shown in the attachment). The icons for all other applications (LibreOffice StartCenter, Calc, Impress, Draw, Math, Base) are correctly shown in the taskbar when the application is running.
The reason of the problem was probably that the previously installed LibreOffice 5rc3 did not cleanly uninstall from the system. The old entries somehow remained in the Windows 7 start menu. Today, I removed these non-functional old entries (that did not have any icons anymore) from the Start menu and then everything worked fine. I close this as RESOLVED->NOTABUG
Perhaps your problem might be resolved by resetting the icon cache: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/49819-icon-cache-rebuild.html
