Description tommy27 2015-08-25 07:47:33 UTC
while testing bug 93610 I noticed that the flipped .JPEG image in attachment 118160 [details] is not shown in LibO 5.1.0.0 alpha (*) while is correctly shown in LibO 4.4.5.1 and 5.0.0.4

bug affects only Writer while a similar file in Draw is correctly displayed (see attachment 118162 [details] )

my test was performed under Win8.1 x64

Hmm, on Windows 10 Pro, 64-bit en-US with

Version: 5.1.0.0.alpha1+ (x64)
Build ID: d0489d0827fc6cef04d0f3602023d82ceda82480
TinderBox: Win-x86_64@62-TDF, Branch:MASTER, Time: 2015-08-21_22:27:16
Locale: en-US (en_US)

In Writer, both PNG/JPEG images in attachment 118160 [details] display correctly, and can be opened from Image dialog and flipped as desired. Similar for both PNG/JPEG copies in attachment 118162 [details]

@VSF
my daily build is older than yours so it could be a transient bug not present anymore in current builds... I'm on a low-speed connection right now so I cannot download a newer alpha.

It is shown in 5.1 for me.
The paragraph & image positioning is off, though. Images are in the left side and 1st para is at the right side of the top image and the 2nd para is above the bottom image.

No issue with manipulating either PNG or JPEG in Writer.

Hmm, and no change if I enable OpenGL for all rendering.

@Tommy27, *

Just a thought, I didn't think it would matter for JPEG or PNG, but are you set up with the helper programs for raster images?

Do things improve if you install either Imagemagick or Ghostscript?

I'd probably check first with Imagemagick installed, and then Ghostscript.

But check each makes it int the PATH variable after each install. Easily done from a command prompt--with "set". And tested with "where convert" for Imagemagick, and "where gswin64c" or "where gswin32c" for Ghostscript.
