I have been trying to use the free to download and use HSE Management Standards spreadsheet downloadable from: www.hse.gov.uk/stress/standards/pdfs/analysistool.xls However I am unable to use LibreOffice as it only opens correctly in Microsoft Office - which I am trying to get away from without much success when such things happen. The spreadsheet asks to run macros, when the positive (YES) response is taken then it returns an error "Basic syntax error". It then will only close if "XKILL" is used from a terminal. I have waited several months to try again to use LibreOffice, and have upgraded several times to each new version - but it has not made any difference.
Can you please be specific on how you use this tool (minimal case), the expected and obtained result?
Hello, Thank you for reporting the bug. Unfortunately without clear steps to reproduce it, we cannot track down the origin of the problem. Please provide a clearer set of step-by-step instructions on how to reproduce the problem.
I don't understand, there's no macro in the xls file.
Created attachment 120207 [details] Spreadsheet analysis tool. Hi Julien. I attach the spread sheet which is creating the problems. If you open it, you need to select enable macros for it to work. It then opens an error dialog box which will only close if you use xkill. I am using Ubuntu 14.04 LTS with a Gnome desktop. The version of Libre Office is 5.0.3.2. I hope this info helps you. Regards
