@Thomas : your test also needs to include a document previously created without Author data, loaded after you made the change to the user profile, then exported to PDF.

In the scenario you described, your first document was already open and in memory when you changed the user data, however your second document was created ab initio after that change was made.

Please try with a previous ODT that didn't have author data, open it, and export to PDF, to see whether the user data is taken up.

Comment 3 Thomas 2015-10-22 11:05:04 UTC
@Alex: The test already includes what you're asking for. The.odt file in question was created before the change to the profile. Now that my name is in the author fields in the profile, I can open this same .odt file (again, created before an author name existed), modify it, save it, export it to .pdf, and still no author shows.

I've even used the reset button, but since this .odt document was created before an author existed, Libreoffice will NOT LET YOU add an author?

Surely this is not by design :/

I've attached the .odt file in question. See if your Libreoffice will let you add an author when exporting a .pdf, because mine will not let me add an author to this .odt file.
