User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:42.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/42.0 Build Identifier: LibreOffice 5.0.3.2 AUTOFIT bitmap error every time. Reproducible: Always [Information automatically included from LibreOffice] Locale: pt-BR Module: TextDocument [Information guessed from browser] OS: Windows (All) OS is 64bit: yes Reset User Profile? No
I am having the same problem as of 5.0.3.2. I just upgraded to Version: 5.0.3.2 Build ID: e5f16313668ac592c1bfb310f4390624e3dbfb75 and now every time I open a document that has a page background image, the setting has been changed to "Autofit." The image is distorted. I can clear the "Autofit" check mark and the image returns to normal, but every time I save the document and re-open it, "Autofit" is selected again. This is a problem because I watermark a number of documents, e.g., as "Draft", by using a bitmap image. I'm using LibreOffice on both Linux (Fedora) and Windows (8) and have the problem with both copies.
Could not reproduce crash. J William Cupp: do you get a crash, though? Jéferson: Please try getting a backtrace of the crash. https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/How_to_get_a_backtrace_with_WinDbg You might try this trick first: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile#Resolving_corruption_in_the_user_profile Set to NEEDINFO. Change back to UNCONFIRMED, if the problem persists. Change to RESOLVED WORKSFORME, if the problem went away.

Created attachment 120750 [details] Sample File This is the file used to generate the two sample pdf files. The autofit option in the format-->page menu comes back every time.
Created attachment 120751 [details] PDF of file as it is intended to appear This is a pdf of the file as it is intended to appear.
Created attachment 120752 [details] PDF of what it looks like after reopening the file. This is a pdf of what the file looks like after reopening the file. The file was saved with the "autofit" option unchecked. But, upon saving, the "autofit" is checked again and looks like this. This occurs upon opening any files with graphics in the background--this particular file was created in October. Please accept my apologies for the number of attachments submitted. I am fairly inexperienced at this so I may not be submitting everything in the most efficient manner. Thank you for your patience!
I can get the autofit bitmap error to reproduce every time. But, I have not been able to get the crash to reproduce.
I'm having the same problem with AutoFit in the Page->Area settings. I am loading a background image, and setting: Width: 100% Height: 50% AutoFit: OFF This puts the image at the bottom half of the page. As soon as I save, close, and re-open the document, AutoFit is checked back ON, and thus the image, which should only fit the bottom half of the page, is filling the whole area. I'm not getting a crash, it just doesn't work as expected.
(In reply to Frank Zimmerman from comment #8) > I'm having the same problem with AutoFit in the Page->Area settings. See bug 95850, the problem is gone in 5.0.4. As no one has been able to reproduce a crash and the original reporter has not clarified, I will set this to NEEDINFO. Jéferson: please test with 5.0.4. If you don't get any problems, set this to RESOLVED WORKSFORME. If you do get a crash, please try getting a backtrace as no other person has been able to make it crash. https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/How_to_get_a_backtrace_with_WinDbg

attachment 120565 [details] from Bug 95810 is a backtrace of a crash that could be this same issue. Guys: please test with LibreOffice 5.1 to see, if the problem still occurs.
This bug is about a crash (and only the crash to have 1 bug per bugtracker). Since there's no feedback after about 6 months, let's put this one to INSUFFICIENTDATA. Don't hesitate to reopen this tracker, if you still reproduce this with last stable LO version (5.1.3)
